Field Service Technician Lead 100 % (m/f/d)
The Field Service Technician Lead position comprises of the short and mid-range national strategies to meet key objectives for growing the Parts & Service business as well as developing business opportunities and customer relationships. The Field Service Technician Lead will be accountable for P&L commitments for the department and responsible for miscellaneous technical support and field services necessary to support plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, operator training, and warranty commitments. The Field Service Technician Lead will report to the Department Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Operate with wide latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions requiring independent judgment having a direct impact on the Company.
- Drive the growth of the Parts & Service business by establishing and marketing competitive products, services and programs.
- Continually review and maintain the Parts & Service P&L account, ensuring that all commercial opportunities are maximised.
- Ensure full integration of all field service, operations and sales to deliver customer service excellence.
- Manage, coordinate and administer local Parts&Service Center.
- Perform new equipment commissioning inspections.
- Perform inspections of existing equipment and provide recommendations.
- Assist customers with installation, repair, diagnosis expertise and trouble shoot any customer issues onsite and over the phone.
- Provide scheduled and emergency service to clients, Coordinate work on all plant equipment.
- Train customer personnel in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist office engineers/PMs with measurements, diagnosis, or warranty related issues.
- Provide detailed reports pertaining to site visits using Word and Excel currently.
- Ability to travel and spend time away from home, if required. Manage travel and personal accommodations.Read and translate blueprint drawings for Personnel or site contractors we work with.
- Navigate unfamiliar areas to reach customer destinations.
- Adherence to safe working requirements at all times and site Health & Safety
conditions.
- Manages 2-5 employees and may use team leads.
- Performs annual employee assessment and performance review.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Your skills and assets:
- Extensive knowledge of water treatment equipment
- Must be friendly and approachable.
- Ability to understand the sales of Capital and Commodity related products to the
Water/Wastewater Industry
- Must have the ability to generate and modify Excel spreadsheets, Word
documents & PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to read and understand document processing related procedures.
- Need to have a working understanding of how various Microsoft Office programs
work.
- Ability to respond effectively and timely to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Ability to take, understand and both read, write, and converse in Hebrew and
English at advanced levels.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing on a technical level.
- Ability to make decisions requiring the use of multiple variables, in complex nonstandard situations.
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Ability to provide a professional company image.
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to interface with employees, customers, and
representatives worldwide.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks from a number of individuals.
- Ability to take on special projects and handle them to completion with indirect
supervision.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Your Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in mechanical engineering discipline is desirable but not required.
- A minimum of ten (10) years directly applicable technical experience; and/or
equivalent combination of education and experience in: field service and/or
project management, water/wastewater equipment maintenance and/or operation
