We are looking for a time served experienced Field Service Engineer based in the Timaru area. The role has a strong focus on ensuring quality technical service deliverables are met for a wide range of GEA technologies, primarily mechanical equipment for all major dairy factories, water treatment plants, wineries, and breweries.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

• Service maintenance, planned and unplanned
• Any necessary remedial or rectification works
• Performing site trouble shooting with remote support, including actively listening to customers feedback and supporting them to resolve technical issues
• Preparing any required job-related reports
• Focusing on continuous improvement, providing feedback, solutions, and initiatives to all key stakeholders
• Maintaining and improving customer relationships to foster collaboration, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Demonstrating and appreciating safety for self and others in all actions and activities and maintain a general understanding of the health and safety legislation.

Your profile and qualifications:

• Technical qualification preferred ie fitter / turner
• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a mechanical discipline
• Experienced with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Customer service focused with a willingness to travel
• Able to work in a team and autonomously
• Vehicle Drivers Licence essential

The role is a permanent 40 hour per week position but will require some overtime from time-to-time. The base salary is between $70,000 – $100,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience). The overall remuneration will include base salary, medical insurance, overtime and may include eligibility to participate in the global bonus scheme. Allowances are also payable for when travel is required. The maximum hours per week before overtime rate applies are as per the company overtime policy.

Domestic (nationwide) travel as and when required to meet the tasks required for the role. During the winter months, there will be a requirement for overtime. There will also be the need to be on call from time to time to help with afterhours breakdowns.
